About The League City Proud Organization
The League City Proud Organization was founded in 1997 to promote community partnership, spirit, history and pride. Holiday In the Park started when founder Janice Hallisey wanted to provide a holiday event for League City families. Her heart wanted to provide a FREE event to her local community for children to experience the "Magic of the Holiday Season!". Holiday In the Park began December 5th, 1997 when the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses pranced down Main Street for the very first Grand Night Parade. Over the years the little Parade has turned into a three day festival with multiple parades, the Grand Night parade, live entertainment and over 100 hundred shopping and dining options all nestled under the 100 year old Butler Oaks in League Park.
